May Update

Anatoli and Lucy are in Sumy. Anatoli is doing some teaching a few times during the week. He was the long-time vocational preaching minister at the church from the beginning. It's always a boost for the church to have them both come back. They have such a wonderful spirit of love and service. We enjoyed our company with them.

We attended a conference for working with children in Ukraine. We met a lot of wonderful people, the presentations were very helpful, and we even discovered some American girls working here in Sumy.

We visited the Christian Camp in Kalintsi. I used my carpentry skills to build the kitchen cabinets. It was good to get my hands dirty. It's also fun to hang out with the Ukrainian brothers helping to build the camp. We've become good friends.

We had to travel out of the country due to visa restrictions, so we enjoyed our trip to Krakow, Poland.

In April, we enjoyed our visit in Kyiv with Carol Pinczuk. We were there for a precious moment when she addressed the Shevchenko Church of Christ for the first time since Yaroslav "Rick", her husband, passed away.

We are looking forward to June visits from my parents and nephew, Zach, and then from Tim Johnson.
